Bukit Putih (Ah Pak San 阿伯山), Cheras

Bukit Putih which is also known as 'Ah Pak San', or Apek Hill, is located on a short series of low peaks in a small forest reserve off Cheras in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The outer fringes of the hill are made up of mostly rubber trees but further in, it transcends to old secondary or primary forest.

The trails that wind around and on top of the hill do have moderately challenging ascents and descents at some parts which was quite adventurous...there are about 7 Stations (Level 1 to Level 7), and if you were to traverse all the trails, it could easily take up most of the day.

look what i've found...tree with a hole filled with water...

The trails lead to different 'stations' or check points around the hill...all together, there are 6 check points...up to check point no.5 will takes you to a small but scenic waterfall located down below following a steep descent...its about 45 minutes walk down the hill!

Ah Pak San is popular for trekkers out to have a good workout and to enjoy the fresh air just outside the busy city...

scenic waterfall

The first part of the trail is quite steep, be careful, when you continue after reaching the top of the hill, the trail stays level for a while and finaly slopes down steeply to a beautiful waterfall...
